My Mother Finally Found Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) My mother always firmly believed in Buddhism. After I started practicing Falun Dafa, I used the opportunity of visiting my family to introduce the beauty of Falun Dafa to my mother many times, but she seemed not to be able to accept it. Last fall, my mother finally agreed to live with me for a while. I decided to use this opportunity to make it possible for her to start practicing Falun Dafa.

On the second day of my mother's visit, I told her about Falun Dafa spreading throughout the world, and I persuaded her to read Zhuan Falun. I also taught her the exercises mornings and evenings. After reading Zhuan Falun once, my mother was deeply moved. She held the book and said, "This is the Buddha's Fa! This is such a good Buddha's Fa! With the little education that I have I can understand it. I really wish those who are against Falun Gong would read this book first."

In the past my mother often worried that she could not understand the Buddhist scriptures. In order to make up for her late start in practicing Falun Dafa, my mother could never put down this precious book. Often when I woke in the middle of the night, I could hear her quietly reading the book aloud under a light. One night after my mother had been with me for two weeks, she was about to practice the fifth exercise with me. She suddenly pointed at the center of the bottom of her foot and said to me, "Look! Since when is there a purple spot at the center of the bottom of my foot? I couldn't have gotten a bruise here from walking." I checked it, and saw a purple spot as big as a thumbnail at the Yongquan acupuncture point on her left foot. It was very obvious. I said, "It must be a good thing. Don't pay attention to it."

My mother has very serious diabetes. She needs to use the bathroom five to six times every night. As the purple spot got lighter and lighter, then disappeared after three days, my mother no longer had an abnormal need to use the bathroom.

In order to help my mother comprehensively understand Falun Dafa, I gradually had her read Master's lectures before 1999, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and some articles from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. When she saw the reports of how the Chinese Communist Party brutally persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners and harvested their organs, my mother cried.

One day, my mother took out 1,000 yuan and told me, "Make more truth-clarification materials and save more people." I was shocked by her action. Among my relatives, she was the most thrifty; even if leftovers were spoiled, she would put some baking soda on it and eat it. She still maintains this habit. In addition, the 1,000 yuan were two months' of her retirement pension! Besides being surprised, I was also happy from the bottom of my heart for my mother, a sentient being saved.
