One day in the early spring of 2008, in a hospital in Shanghai, a young man who was suffering from gastric perforation could hardly bear the pain. He screamed and rolled around in his bed. The two people who accompanied him didn't know what to do to help him.

This young man's name is Changshuan (alias). His hometown is in the countryside of Henan Province. After having lunch one day, he suddenly felt extreme pain in his stomach. The two people who were with him rushed him to the hospital. After he was examined, the doctor told him that he had acute gastric perforation and could lose his life at any time. The doctor said he needed to submit 10,000 yuan and have an operation right away. The three men were completely stunned after they heard the doctor's words. They only had about 1,000 yuan in their pockets and this money merely went toward helping the young man become registered as a patient in the hospital. As for the deposit for the operation, they had to wait for Changshuan's father to bring it to the hospital from the countryside.

In the hospital, Changshuan couldn't bear the pain. His two friends begged the doctor continuously to perform the operation. They promised that the 10,000 yuan would be available within a day. However, their request was coldly rejected by the chief physician.

Since they couldn't submit the deposit money, Changshuan could not have an operation and he could clearly feel that his life was in danger. He was in great pain and was sad and desperate. Suddenly he remembered that a Falun Dafa practitioner in his hometown had given everyone a nicely-made card that had a beautiful picture on it. The practitioner had told them that in case of danger or trouble, they could get help from Dafa if they sincerely recited, "Falun Dafa is good" or "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good."

When he thought of this, Changshuan began to say at the top of his voice, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good; Falun Dafa is good." He repeated these two sentences over and over. While he was saying them, he no longer felt any pain and he gradually fell asleep.

Changshuan slept for more than four hours. Traveling on the highway from Henan to Shanghai, Changshuan's father was very worried. After he got off the bus, he practically ran to the hospital. But by the time he arrived at the hospital, his son had recovered. The three young men were laughing and talking in the ward.

Changshuan and his friends told his father what had happened. The old man's happiness was beyond description. Even the doctors said that it was a miracle and totally unbelievable. The old peasant was so grateful that he burst into tears. In the presence of other patients and their relatives in the ward, he showed his deepest and most sincere respect to Master Li and Falun Dafa.

Two years ago, there was a small private clinic beside the No. 268 Factory in Xindu. Many people knew the chief physician of the clinic, Zeng Wei.

On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin began to cruelly persecute Falun Gong. During that time people who went to Zeng Wei's clinic always parroted the slanderous information spread by the CCP-controlled media. One day a practitioner told Zeng Wei the facts about Falun Gong, hoping he could tell right from wrong. But Zeng didn't listen. He only believed the lies in the media. The practitioner told him kindly that if he couldn't tell good from evil but instead slandered Falun Gong, he might suffer karmic retribution. Ever since then, fewer and fewer people went to Zeng's clinic. Later his income was hardly enough to meet the monthly expenses.

Several months later the same practitioner met Zeng and asked him how the business was. Zeng said, "I can barely continue to run the clinic. I'm losing too much money." The practitioner again told him the facts about Falun Gong and how it is being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party. He also gave him some informational materials and told him, "Please do treat Dafa practitioners nicely. Read silently and sincerely recite, 'Falun Dafa is good,' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'" He also helped him to quit the Communist Youth League. Zeng listened this time and did everything that he was told.

Later Zeng Wei went to visit this practitioner. He said happily, "What you said is totally true! The business this month was extremely good. Give me some more information materials. I'd like to read them. Thank you!"

Zeng's business got better and better, and he later went to a big city and opened up a bigger clinic.
