(Clearwisdom.net) Ever since 2000, German Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin has been doing the Falun Gong exercises and protesting the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy in Berlin almost everyday. For some time, she has received a rose every week from an elderly gentleman.

Ms. Lin is an ordinary housewife. Aside from looking after her husband and two children, she works part-time to assist the family. On weekends she also teaches Chinese in a Chinese School.

Ms. Lin started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. Through reading Zhuan Falun, she gradually understood the reasons behind things about which she used to be resentful. She also became quite optimistic about life. Her husband used to have leukemia. After reading Zhuan Falun, he got better and has good health even today. Because leukemia is seen as incurable, her husband's recovery greatly encouraged Ms. Lin.

Ms. Lin has been doing the Falun Gong exercises at the Chinese Embassy for almost eight years. At the beginning when she was the only practitioner doing this, she went to the Embassy almost every day. In recent years, there are more practitioners who go to the Chinese Embassy to do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. She now only goes there once a week. When asked why she continues to do the exercises at the Chinese Embassy, she replied, "After the Chinese Communist regime started its persecution of Falun Gong, I felt that at this time I should make my stance clear to the people at the Chinese Embassy as well as to the public. Right from the beginning, public opinion about Falun Gong was heavily influenced by the Chinese Communist regime's slanderous propaganda. But I benefited from Falun Gong, and I very much wanted to let others know what Falun Gong truly is."

She said that many people in China didn't know the facts about Falun Gong and that such a good cultivation way is often misunderstood. Many also didn't know about the severity of the persecution. There were also people who turned a blind eye to the persecution even though they knew about it. Ms. Lin said, "From my heart I truly want people to know what Falun Gong is. I feel that I must go to the Chinese Embassy to explain it clearly."

It has been nine years since the Chinese Communist regime started its brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Due to the untiring efforts of practitioners in China and abroad that have cleared up misconceptions about Falun Gong, the situation now is entirely different from 1999. Many people have heard about the regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and what Falun Gong really is. Ms. Lin has intense feelings about this. She said, "It is really different now. Even people's facial expressions have undergone a great change. At the beginning, people were so indifferent, especially Chinese people who would try their best to keep away from you. Now, many people greet you warmly. I also frequently hear encouraging words. Many Westerners know what Falun Gong really is. They also know that the persecution of Falun Gong is unprecedented and very brutal.

"There is a Chinese lady who lives nearby. She often passes by the Chinese Embassy. At the beginning, she had some misunderstandings about us. Later she often chatted with me and asked some questions. As time passed, she learned that I am a good and kind person. She also started to chat with me about personal matters in her family. From not understanding us to be willing to talk to me about her private affairs--she would not have done this if she didn't trust Falun Gong."

Ms. Lin hoped that Chinese people would use their own minds to calmly think about what Falun Gong is, instead of only listening to the claims by the Chinese Communist regime.

Ms. Lin also mentioned an event that impressed her deeply. When she had just started doing the exercises at the Chinese Embassy, every week an elderly gentleman brought her a rose. He didn't say much aside from, "This is for you." He came once a week. Such support gave Ms Lin great encouragement and also helped her to believe that people know what is righteous and what is evil.

"That rose encouraged me greatly, because for a long time, I was alone at the Chinese Embassy everyday. Inevitably I needed to overcome many difficulties. The rose this elderly gentleman gave me truly encouraged and helped me to keep going. I knew Master was encouraging me. Sometimes I was with other practitioners, but the rose was always placed before me. One day I didn't go. But the following day I still found the rose at the site. I felt truly ashamed from my heart."

Ms. Lin continued, "Until one day I suddenly understood. I said to Master in my heart: 'Master, I have understood everything. I will keep going. You don't need to send someone to give me a flower anymore.' Since then that elderly gentleman has not delivered any more flowers."

Ms. Lin was very emotional when she said, "Master has been encouraging us all the way on our cultivation path."
