Saving Sentient Beings at Two Wedding Banquets

(Clearwisdom.net) Before the May 1 holiday this year, I received two wedding invitations from my colleagues of over ten years, for their sons. My husband and I planned to attend, so I made the best of my time to prepare truth-clarification materials and charm amulets (1) to hand out.

For the first banquet, I prepared ten copies of truth-clarifying materials and more than twenty charm amulets. Before going to the banquet, I went to talk to the hostess. I told her the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa and why there are so many natural disasters nowadays. As I was talking, I gave her truth-clarifying information and a charm amulet, and told her to recite the words on the amulet. I also told her some examples of people getting blessed from reciting "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." She listened carefully and then said, "Why don't you give me two more charm amulets for my son and daughter." I also asked her, "Have you or your husband ever joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations?" She said, "Yes, but a relative already helped us withdraw some time ago."

After I bid farewell to the hostess, my husband and I hurried to the restaurant for the wedding banquet. On the way there, I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked for all the predestined people to come to me. As soon as we got to the restaurant, I saw an old colleague walking up to me. After we greeted each other, she said, "Are you still practicing Falun Gong?" I asked, "How can you tell?" She replied, "You haven't changed in over ten years. But, look at me, I am so old now." She is only a few years older than I am, but her face was full of wrinkles. I said, "If you don't want to look old, just practice Falun Gong. Go home and keep practicing." (She had practiced Falun Dafa before the persecution began.) She smiled and said, "Yes, I will." I gave her truth-clarifying information and a charm amulet, and told her to read it once she got home so that she could start practicing again after learning the truth about Falun Gong.

After the banquet started, I told people sitting at my table the truth about Falun Gong and gave each of them truth-clarifying materials and charm amulets. I told them to read the materials when they got home and recite the words on the amulet. They all smiled and thanked me.

After the first banquet, I thought to myself, "The banquet lasts less than an hour. For the next banquet, I have to go a little earlier and wait for people at the door." At the second banquet, I saw a colleague that I hadn't seen for 23 years. She told me that her health was very bad. I told her, "I brought a charm amulet for you. Just recite the words on it and you will feel better." I also helped her to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Before we went our ways, I gave her several copies of materials and told her to read them carefully at home.

I saw another colleague of mine at the banquet and gave her two charm amulets and a copy of the truth-clarifying material. I told her to read the material carefully and recite the words on the amulet, and she would gain good health. She said she would and thanked me. I used the same method and distributed over twenty amulets and a dozen materials. By then, the banquet was over. My husband and I went home happily.

People are very busy. But as practitioners, we need to remember to make the best use of our time to save sentient beings.

(1) In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
