Three Cases of Karmic Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures,
the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable
for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun
Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while
doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic
retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while
evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing.
While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following
orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for
their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they
escape retribution. The following are three instances of karmic retribution to officials who
engaged in the persecution of Falun Gong. Zhang Quanhai, a Judicial Manager in Jiangjiatun Township, Dies from Karmic
Retribution Falun Dafa practitioners clarified the truth to Zhang Quanhai
many times, however Zhang chose to continue monitoring and reporting on
practitioners. As a result he eventually died from liver cancer. He was not yet
56 years old. Mei Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the CCP Politics and Law Committee of
Pengshan County, Sichuan Province Dies from Cancer Mei Weidong was recognized by his superiors for his efforts in persecuting
local Falun Gong practitioners. They made an exception and promoted Mei Weidong
up several levels to Deputy Secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of
Meishan City. On the night before the announcement, Mei Weidong went to the
hospital where he was diagnosed with cancer. He died in late June 2009, at
around the age of 40 years old. Wang, Secretary of the Domestic Security Division Inspection Commission in
Daqing City, Was Mistakenly Killed by Hit-man At 8:14 a.m. on June 26, 2009, the Daqing City Police Department
"110" call center (similar to 911 in the U.S.) received a call
reporting that a black sedan had run into a concrete parapet wall in front of a
home garage in the Hanlinwan, Yanhucheng Neighborhood of Gaoxin District. The
man inside was bleeding from the head profusely. According to investigators at the scene, it was confirmed that the deceased
had been shot in the head. The deceased was a 46-year-old, surnamed Wang, who
was a resident of one of the units in that building. He was the current
secretary of the Domestic Security Division Inspection Commission in Daqing
City. At 8:05 a.m. that day, Wang was about to leave for work. He backed his car
out from the garage and was shot. On the afternoon of July 6, 2009, the Daqing Police Department held a news
conference announcing details of the case. Wang's death was the result of a
financial dispute that escalated into the hiring of hit-men to assassinate
someone. However, the two hit-men killed the wrong person. The Daqing Police Department is the main perpetrator in the persecution of
Falun Gong practitioners in Daqing City.
