With a Wife's Chronic Illness Healed and Her Husband's Vicious Temper Pacified, the Goodness of Dafa Spreads

(Clearwisdom.net) Xuemei (a pseudonym), around 40, is a housewife in Wuxue City, Hubei Province. She had an abusive husband and had developed severe nephritis. In 2006, a dramatic change happened to Xuemei and her family. Since then, her nephritis has been cured and her husband no longer beats her. Their changes have really impressed the people in their village.

Xuemei's severe nephritis used to cause her a lot of suffering every year. Each time the illness acted up, she would get swollen and be very miserable. Right before the Lunar New Year in 2006, she became sick again. This time was even more severe. Her entire body was so swollen that her face was misshapen. She could sleep for only 2-3 hours per day. No injections or medicine would help. A Dafa practitioner heard about Xuemei's condition, so she gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun on New Year's Eve. The practitioner told her, "This is the true Buddha Law. As long as you study it with sincerity, a miracle will happen."

Xuemei began to read the book every day. To her surprise, a miracle did happen shortly afterwards. After enduring a body cleansing experience twice in one day, the swollen areas miraculously recovered, and the severe nephritis was cured. It was as if she had a bad cold. It enhanced her belief in Master and Dafa. She then learned the five sets of exercise and became a Dafa practitioner.

Xuemei's husband was notorious in the village for beating his wife. He was also deceived by the CCP's lies. Whenever he saw Xuemei practicing the exercises, he would get angry. He beat her badly and often, as visible black and blue marks on her attested. One day it was raining very hard, and after beating her again for practicing Dafa, he grabbed her by her waist and threw her out doors in the rain. Xuemei could not get up for a long time.

After becoming a practitioner, whenever faced with this type of inhuman treatment, Xuemei would always remember the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance that Master taught in Zhuan Falun. She did not fight back. Instead, she often kindly asked her husband to learn to be a good person.

One day her husband beat her with a thick rod until it broke. He was tired from beating her and began to feel sorry for what he had done. He said to Xuemei, "Why don't you hit me back?" She calmly told her husband that practicing Dafa was good both physically and mentally, that it was beneficial for both the people and the country. She asked him not listen to the CCP's lies and commit bad deeds.

Several times Xuemei's husband experienced retribution. He was stung by a wasp and bitten by a snake. When he was helping with a masonry project, a rock bounced off his own hammer and smashed him in the face. Xuemei never laughed at him. On the contrary, she took over all the housework and farm work and took good care of him. After he calmed down, she talked to him nicely. As a result of Xuemei's sincerity and kindness, as well as the family's persuasion, Xuemei's husband finally repented, "She's such a nice person. How could I hit her?" After that, he stopped beating her.

It has been three years since Xuemei had her last kidney problem. She has become a major breadwinner in the family. And Xuemei's husband has never beat her again. Due to their former reputations, the changes in the couple have caused shock waves in the village. Many people heard about them and went to ask Xuemei, "What cured you and your husband?" When people found out the truth, they often said, "Zhuan Falun is a sacred book that saves lives!"
