Mr. Lan Yingzhou, 67 years old, was a retired senior engineer from the Xiwu Institute, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Policemen and people from his company often came to his home to harass and threaten him. In 2000, his wife went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution and was detained.
