(Minghui.org) In April 2004 I was taken by an officer to the Liaoning Province Representative Office in Beijing from Tiananmen Square Police Station. He made one statement that I'll never forget: “You're intolerant of others.” I felt ashamed upon hearing this, since that policeman had come across many Dafa practitioners since July 1999 and had some understanding about Dafa cultivation. From his words, I knew that I had a very strong attachment.

Cultivation is about letting go of human attachments, and it hasn't been easy for me to let go of my intolerance. It appears to be one attachment, but actually involves many more. This attachment interfered with saving people in our truth-clarification efforts, because I always wanted others to listen to me and tried to convince them to accept my ideas. I started to worry about this situation and how it affected me.

Master said,

“The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts.” (“Drive Out Interference” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Through Fa study, I understand that a cultivator should have immense tolerance, so I often remind myself to look at the strong points of others. Master encourages us to focus on how we study the Fa and cultivate ourselves, so that we can improve together.

Now, I'm able to clarify the facts to everyday people by by following the logic of their thinking and attachments. As I improve in cultivation, my ability has also improved. When talking to everyday people, I can understand how they think and their health conditions. Usually, I can easily start a conversation by inquiring about their health, then I explain the facts about Falun Gong. Many have acknowledged the effective way I interact with people. I tell them that all my wisdom comes from cultivation in Dafa.

I lived alone for nine years and felt that I'd already let go of the attachment of intolerance of others. However, my son (who I'd been separated from for over ten years) came to live with me again last year, and the old attachment reappeared.

At first, we didn't feel as close to each other as before due to the long separation. I pointed out his shortcomings, and he said, “Mom, aren't you behaving the same way as me?” I replied, “What? I'm the same as you?” Suddenly, I realized that my son was like a mirror placed next to me by Master, to help me reflect upon myself at all times. Later when I came across conflicts, I was able to take a step back first and avoid confrontation. My son also felt much closer to me and often reminded me to send righteous thoughts for the night sessions. The tolerance of a Dafa cultivator is as broad as the sky and unconditional.

Master said,

“Let each and every thing be measured against the Fa. Only then, with that, is it actually cultivation.” (“Solid Cultivation” from Hong Yin)

It's easy to know and intellectually understand this Fa principle, but it requires much effort to put into practice. We really must cultivate solidly.

Thank you Master! Thank you fellow practitioners!
