(Minghui.org) When people visit Paris, the top attractions often include the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Galeries Lafayette. For Chinese tourists in particular, there is something else not to miss—talking with Falun Gong practitioners and finding out things they could never hear about in China.

“We Are Here for Tourists Like You”

One such tourist asked Sue, a practitioner volunteer standing next to a Falun Gong poster, “What are you doing here? Why does your poster say 'Quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)?'”

“We are here for tourists like you,” replied Sue. “The communist party in China has harmed so many innocent people, including Falun Gong practitioners, that it is doomed. But most of us joined the Young Pioneers or the Youth League or even the CCP at one time or another. We were forced to make a vow that we would give our lives for the Party, so our fates are intertwined.

“To keep from going down with the CCP when it collapses,” she explained, “we have to quit its organizations. That will ensure us a better future.”

Practitioners set up posters near the Eiffel Tower to tell people about Falun Gong and quitting the CCP.

The tourist nodded, as did a Chinese couple next to her, who commented, “We know about Falun Gong. It grew quickly, but the Party does not want anyone to think independently.” The husband added, "That Tiananmen Square self-immolation in January 2001 was a hoax to turn the public against Falun Gong. I've been there, and there's no way the police could have gotten hold of fire extinguishers so quickly.”

When asked if he had ever joined any CCP organizations, the man said he was once a Young Pioneer and decided to renounce his membership.

Chinese tourists read about Falun Gong.

One tourist from Shanghai said he agreed with Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “They are good people who want to be better citizens. What's wrong with that?”

Eager to Quit the CCP

Because of totalitarian rule in China, many tourists used to quit the Party in private. Now the situation has changed, and they sometimes quit as a group.

Practitioner volunteer Ms. Fang greeted a group having their picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower, “Welcome to Paris! Do you know 200 million people have quit the CCP organizations? No matter where we are, we Chinese always hope that our lives will be safe and happy. Cutting our ties with the CCP and all it stands for will help that come true.

“I know you have a busy schedule. How about you do it together here? That way, you no longer need to worry about it and can enjoy the rest of the trip,” she suggested.

“Great!” “Thank you!” With smiles and cheers, everyone agreed to quit the CCP.

Ms. Guan, another practitioner volunteer, said she once met a police officer from Beijing. As she was talking about quitting the Party, the man suddenly changed his tone, “Do you know who I am? I am a police officer from Beijing.”

“Glad to hear that. I am from Beijing, too,” said Ms. Guan, calmly. “It's nice to talk with you today. Since you work with the police, you already know how badly the Party treats people and what the consequences will be. Quitting the CCP would be a smart thing to do. It will benefit both you and your family.”

The man nodded and smiled and thanked Ms. Guan.

“One interesting thing I've noticed is that, after people choose to quit the Party, they always looked so much happier and relaxed,” said Ms. Guan. "One time a group of tourists were so delighted that they were singing 'Falun Dafa Is Good' as they left."

Sometimes tourists share their own experiences. When a practitioner was telling a tourist about Falun Gong and quitting the CCP, another Chinese tourist from the same group came up and added, “What she [the practitioner] said is true. You know, I was having a difficult time sleeping, and it really bothered me. But after I followed their advice and recited 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,' things changed. That night I slept like a log.”

Thousands of Chinese tourists visit the Eiffel Tower every day. With help from these practitioner volunteers, dozens of them and sometimes over 100 quit the CCP daily.
