(Minghui.org) A Philadelphia newspaper covered local practitioners' World Falun Dafa Day celebration event on May 23, 2015. The Philadelphia Public Record article reported practitioners' group exercises at the Liberty Bell Plaza and one of the themes of the event: calling for an end to the persecution in China.

Mr. Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Dafa, introduced the practice to the public on May 13, 1992. The first Falun Dafa Day was celebrated on May 13, 2000, just months after the persecution began in China in July 1999. May 13 this year marked the 16th World Falun Dafa Day and the 23rd anniversary of the practice's introduction to the public.
