(Minghui.org) Police officers play a critical role in the suppression of Falun Gong practitioners. Once they hear the facts about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and the persecution, however, many change their minds or even began to support practitioners. Below is an example that took place in Tai'an City, Shandong Province.

Six police officers, from both the Daiyue Domestic Security Division and the Liangzhuang Police Station, went to the home of Ms. Li Xiaohuan on the morning on October 14, 2015. Although Ms. Li was not at home, they ransacked the apartment and threatened her husband and child, “Tell her [Ms. Li] that we will come back and arrest her.”

Two weeks later, Ms. Li went to the police station to retrieve the personal belongings the officers had confiscated.

When an officer curtly asked her what she was there for, she replied, “I want my Falun Gong books back. I have benefited so much from them. They are more important than my life.”

She then explained how the meditation improved her health and disposition. The officer's attitude changed and he listened attentively.

Several weeks later, two police officers visited Ms. Li again.

“You are a Falun Gong practitioner. How dare you oppose the Party?” said one officer. “Not only that, you are distributing Falun Gong flyers—that's against the law!” said the other.

Ms. Li was very calm and said, “Please, sit down and let's talk.” She ticked off her previous health problems--brain tumor, headache, back pain, and insomnia--told them how miserable her life used to be.

“The practice of Falun Gong changed everything,” she continued. “All my ailments are gone and it is as if I have a new life. My family was thrilled by the positive changes in me, too.”

She explained that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be better citizens and that their improved health and moral character will benefit society. “The slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong deceived so many Chinese people, and anyone involved in the persecution, such as Zhou Yongkang or Bo Xilai, will face consequences.”

One officer continued with the interrogation, asking, “Who do you interact with?”

“Well, there are about 100 million practitioners in total and they are from all walks of life. How could I remember who I have talked with?” she replied.

Ms. Li then talked about the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident in January 2001. The two officers had nothing to say and were about to leave.

“Please keep in mind that Falun Dafa is good and stop following the communist party to do bad things. I am really worried about you,” she told them.

“Got it. Thank you very much,” replied one officer.
