(Minghui.org) A family living in Jiangbei District of Chongqing has been under siege for more than one week.
The mother, surnamed Luo, is a practitioner of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. She refused to open the door when a group of police and street committee staff came to harass her days earlier.
Instead of retreating, the police took turns standing guard outside her apartment building. By May 16, they had shut off water and electricity to the apartment unit and welded the door shut.
No relatives or friends were allowed to go up to the apartment. The young daughter of the family has been forced to miss school for more than one week.
Ms. Luo's relatives and friends are extremely concerned about her and her child's well being.
