(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Song Guixiang, Ms. Xu Guiming, and Ms. Jia Huiqin were sentenced to a one-year prison term by the Runzhou District Court on the morning of July 29, 2016. Ms. Song appealed the sentencing at the Intermediate Court.
Ms. Song, about 60, was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Jinshan Park on March 24, 2016. Ms. Xu, in her 60s, and Ms. Jia, in her 70s, were arrested by police officers that evening while waiting for Ms. Song in her home. The officers had come to ransack Ms. Song's home.
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Suqin Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Luo Suqin, from the Nanqiaoci Residential Community in the Shimahe area, was arrested by about eight police officers while having breakfast with her son on the morning of July 29, 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xin Detained
Ms. Li Xin was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on July 28, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the city detention center.
4. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jijing and Mr. Li Taoyuan Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Wang Jijing from Henan Village, Fengcheng Town, was arrested by a group of people who refused to reveal their identity on the early morning of July 28, 2016.
Mr. Li Taoyuan from Dongbei Village, Fengcheng Town, was also arrested that day. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Chunfang Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
Shi Xuerong, a residential police officer from the Huashan Town Police Station, and about eight officers from the Hongshan District Police Department, broke into Ms. Tian Chunfang's home and arrested her on the morning of July 29, 2016. They ransacked the place and confiscated personal items. Ms. Tian's whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Deng Qinghui Arrested
Mr. Deng Qinghui was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on July 27, 2016. His home was ransacked.
8. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Renxiu Arrested
Ms. Liu Renxiu from the Banan District was arrested at work by officers from the Banan District Police Department on July 28, 2016. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. She was released at 10:30 p.m. that evening.
9. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Shujie Detained
Ms. Sun Shujie was arrested by the Qinhuangdao Railway police for talking to people about Falun Gong on the train on July 15, 2016. She was picked up by Xian County police. She was taken to the Hejian City Detention Center in Cangzhou City.
10. [Chiping County, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Guiying Arrested
Ms. Cui Guiying from Zhaizhuang Village in Dulangkou Town was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on July 27, 2016. She was arrested and taken to the Renli Town Police Station. She was then transferred to the Dulangkou Town Police Station. Li, director of the police station, took Ms. Cui to the Liaocheng City Detention Center. She was denied admission for health reasons. She returned home at noon on July 28, 2016.
11. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuezhen Arrested
Guo Yucheng, head of the Pingdu City 610 Office, and four officers broke into Ms. Wang Yuezhen's home in Xujia Village, Dianzi Town, on the morning of July 25, 2016. They questioned her regarding her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. They ransacked her home and confiscated over 90 copies of Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang was taken to the Dianzi Police Station for interrogation. They extorted 1,000 yuan from her son before she was released The village secretary guaranteed to the police that Ms. Guo would remain under house arrest.
12. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Mr. Fan Xinglong Detained
Liu Yan, deputy director of the Niqiu Town Police Station, and four officers, broke into Mr. Fan Xinglong's home and arrested him on the afternoon of July 18, 2016. He was taken to the Taihe County Detention Center.

13. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Ren Xiaoqing Faces Trial
The Xiaodian District Court were to try Ms. Ren Xiaoqing on August 4, 2016. Ms. Ren was arrested by officers from the Wucheng Police Station, Xiaodian District, on March 1, 2016. She was taken to the Xiaodian District No. 2 Detention Center.

14. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Fu Weineng Taken to Brainwashing Session
Four people from the Hailuo Township Government, the police department, and the Civil Affairs Bureau broke into Mr. Fu Weineng's home in Chengdu City on July 21, 2016. They ransacked her home and confiscated all Falun Gong books, a digital camera, two cell phones, chargers and data cables. On July 25, the four people again harassed Mr. Fu and took him to the Hailuo Township Government for brainwashing.

15. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Mr. Huang Deli and over a dozen of her immediate family members and relatives were touring the Taihang Grand Canyon in Shanxi Province on July 26, 2016. Security personnel found Falun Gong informational materials and called the police. All the family members were taken to the Dongsitou Township Police Station for interrogation. All their identity documents were confiscated. They were transferred to the Qingyang Police Station in Pingshun County in the afternoon. The officers confiscated all personal belongings. They were forced to give blood and urine tests.
The police went to Jinan City in Shandong Province to ransack the homes of Ms. Jiang Xufeng and Mr. Huang Deli on July 29, 2016. They also attempted to ransack Mr. Wang Huanxuan's home, but did not succeed.
Mr. Wang is being held in the Pingshun County Detention House for 15 days of detention. Mr. Huang was taken to the Pingshun County Detention Center. Ms. Jiang is being held in the Changzhi City Detention Center in Shanxi Province.

Ms. Zhu Suying, 48, was arrested by officers form the Nancun Town Police Station for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the Yangwa Residential Community, Zezhou County, on June 10, 2016. She was taken to the Jincheng City Detention Center.

Mr. Lu Hongzhen, Mr. Zhou Ruiguang, and Mr. Shen Shixiang were arrested by officials from the Huzhen Town Government and police officers in the early morning of July 26, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. They were taken to the Dayuan Brainwashing Center in Xiaoyun Township.
