(Minghui.org) Almost 20 years ago, I wasted my youth away, devoting myself to various types of qigong. Gradually, I became cynical towards qigong, as none of the practices seemed to offer me anything more than what I already knew of the secular world.

At that time, it was mid-July of 1999, and China was suppressing Falun Gong. Everyone was talking about it. The persecution turned qigong into a taboo subject, and I decided to stop my qigong practices and return home, knowing that my family would worry about me.

Before I left, I happened to strike up a conversation with an elderly man who was almost blind. He was an expatriate who lived overseas, but was temporarily back in China.

As we talked, the man suddenly saw a magnificent scene on a wall opposite us.

He said that he saw a large Buddhist swastika spinning and enlarging, surrounded by smaller ones. Then, he said that a golden book appeared in the sky, radiating different colors. There were golden flags behind and accompanying the book.

This scene lasted five minutes.

The man was very excited and asked me to interpret the scene for him, knowing that I practiced qigong. Initially, I had felt happy, thinking that this was an auspicious sign of safe travels.

However, what the man said afterwards would stay with me for many years – an unsolved riddle that I hadn't understood.

He said, “History marches on, and in the future, there will be an important book that will lead the Chinese people. This book will be held in high regard, and it may even lead the nation in a new and improved direction. And I believe that you must have a special connection to this book – otherwise a blind man like me would have no business seeing anything at all.”

I did sketch out the scene that the elder described, but I just couldn't figure it out.

I tried to integrate back into secular society after returning home, but I was beyond disappointed with the materialistic society in China. And in my despair, the elderly man's words faded from my memory.

It wasn't until 2008 that I came to know a Falun Gong practitioner, and asked her about the elder's words and my confusion.

The practitioner burst into tears. As she cried, she held my hand and said, “Do you know that you have such a strong predestined relationship (with Dafa)? That was our Master, trying to give you a hint.”

I felt like my entire soul was shaking violently when I took out the drawing that I had kept for many years. This was what I have been waiting for. The Falun emblem and the book Zhuan Falun were what the elder had seen.

Soon I started learning about Falun Gong, and finally understood that Falun Gong was framed by Jiang Zemin. Falun Gong is actually a great, high-level practice of the Buddhist school that raises people's moral standards and allows people to return to their original true self.

The practice is highly praised in over 100 countries and I am very fortunate to be a practitioner.

I hope to use this experience of mine to tell those that have yet to practice or have misconceptions towards it to take a good look and cherish the materials that Falun Gong practitioners have given you.

Please take a bit of time to listen patiently to the facts – you never know if one of your lingering questions might be answered as well.
