(Minghui.org) Fate pushed me to desperation and desolation. I had suffered illnesses and hardships since childhood and now in my forties, I was diagnosed with late stage colon cancer which had metastasized to my lung.

Faced with the ultimate fear of death and an unbearable mountain of debt, my life was revived after learning the practice of Falun Dafa in 2013.

I grew up in a rural village of just a few dozen resident households. I was plagued by severe intestinal parasites. As a result, serious malnutrition caused me to faint without warning.

When I started school, I developed a large abscess on my head and was asked by my teacher not to come to school anymore. Illiterate, I could not find a decent job. I butchered fish and ducks in the market. I had this job for over twenty years which I regretted so much later in my life.

I gradually developed new ailments over the years—constipation, vertigo, chronic bloody urine, and a chronic gastrointestinal bacterial infection and, eventually, late stage colon cancer.

In order to have the needed surgeries, I borrowed money from all my relatives and friends that I could think of. Six rounds of chemotherapy caused constant nausea and dizziness. The little hair I had left after chemotherapy turned completely white. I looked really old for my age and weighed about 100 pounds.

I thought about giving up therapy many times due to the unbearable pain and debt. Yet fate showed me no mercy. My cancer metastasized to the lung near the end of 2013. I seriously pondered suicide over and over but could not stand the thought of my poor child being left behind.

“What is the purpose of my life? Why does fate treat me so cruelly? How would it feel if I could be completely free of illness?” I kept asking myself to no avail.

Maybe heaven did truly hear my desperate groaning. I had the opportunity to meet someone who used to suffer breast cancer but beat it eventually. I was curious and asked her about the details. She smiled at me and said, “I no longer need medication or hospitalization. I enjoy perfect health after practicing Falun Dafa.”

She told me many extraordinary stories and experiences. She gave me an amulet and told me to recite daily “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” A few days later, she gave me the book Zhuan Falun.

After reading the book, I realized the cause of my hardships and sufferings. I quit my butcher’s job. As I read more I started to conduct myself according to the teachings which revealed the purpose of life to me and answered many questions.

I soon experienced a dramatic transformation. My hair grew brown and eventually returned to black. My complexion turned pink and healthy again.

Within the next three months, my lung tumor disappeared together with all the symptoms. I did not need medication anymore. I felt energetic, enjoyed a great appetite, and gained weight. I truly experienced the state of being free of illness. The happiness and excitement were beyond my wildest dreams.

I conducted myself according to the Dafa's teaching at my new job. I carried out my work faithfully without any complaints and excelled among coworkers. I did everything in my power to help others as well. Both my superiors and peers sang my praises.

I told my coworkers about my story and the benefit of practicing Falun Dafa. Many of them were convinced. Whenever there was an opportunity, whether it was at work or in my daily life or as I was on a business trip, I would tell people about Dafa, hand out a brochure, post a banner, or spend currency bills with Dafa slogans written on them.

One day the local police came to my home and asked me about suing the former Chinese Communist Party leader, Jiang Zemin, for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.

I confirmed that I did file the criminal complaint and continued to tell them my life changing experience, the true stories of Dafa practitioners, and the persecution and injustice they had suffered. Fully aware of the potential consequences of my action, I felt no fear but a strong sense of conviction that I was doing the right thing and fulfilling my duty. The police did not arrest me. Instead, they told me before leaving that I should continue my practice safely.

I managed to gradually pay off my debt, bought a car and now plan to buy a new house. My entire family is grateful to Master and Dafa.

Dafa rescued me from death and debt and handed me a brand new life. I will treasure Dafa and cherish this long awaited predestined relationship!
