(Minghui.org) More than two million people attended the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul between August 24 and September 4. Over 10,000 of them stopped by Falun Gong practitioners' booth and signed a petition opposing the ongoing persecution of the spiritual practice by the communist regime in China.

Practitioners explained Falun Gong, its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and how practitioners are mistreated in China for their belief. The Falun Gong club at the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities demonstrated the gentle exercises to spectators.

Many people were interested in learning the exercises and thanked practitioners for introducing the meditation practice to the community. One woman had heard about the suppression in China. Upon hearing that the brutality in China has persisted for 18 years and includes the killing of practitioners for their organs, she was infuriated and hoped the atrocity would end soon.

Within several days, practitioners collected more than 10,000 petition signatures calling to end the forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China. One woman said she normally does not sign petitions, but this time she had to do it because it was “serious and meaningful.”

Quite a few passersby encouraged practitioners, “What you are doing is very important. More people need to know this.” One of them wrote on the petition, “This [persecution] must stop now!”

One woman watched the exercise demonstration for a long time. “I’ve heard about Falun Gong. This is the most peaceful, the most wonderful thing,” she said.
