(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Liangjiashan Township Police Station went to Mr. Chen Guangfang's home in Qiutun Village on August 16, 2017. They harassed him and arrested his wife. She was taken to the police department and released that evening when her blood pressure reading was extremely high.
Mr. Chen Youqing from Liangjiashan Township was arrested on the same day. He was taken to the Shulan Detention Center.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jing Detained
Ms. Liu Jing was arrested on the morning of August 23, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong at the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University.
Ms. Liu is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Zhongmin and His Son Mr. Wang Jianguo Detained
Mr. Wang Zhongmin and his son Mr. Wang Jianguo were arrested at their home by officers from the Tuding Town Police Station in Shuangyang District on the morning of July 6, 2017.
They were held in the Sheling Detention Center in Shuangyang. Mr. Wang Zhongmin was detained for six days.
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Hui Sentenced to Three-Year Prison Term
Mr. Liu Hui was tried by Qingyang District Court on July 31, 2017. He was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term.
5. [Weihai City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xiao Bo and Another Practitioner Arrested
Mr. Xiao Bo and another practitioner were arrested on the morning of August 23, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Zhang Village Farmers' Market. Mr. Xiao was detained for 15 days. The other practitioner has since returned to his work unit.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Teng Meixia and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Teng Meixia and another practitioner from Qiangantang Village in the Taibaozhuang Neighborhood were arrested by officers from the Taibaozhuang Police Station on the evening of August 24, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.
Both practitioners returned home that evening.
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. He Suqiu Detained
Ms. He Suqiu from Bujia Village, Daotian Town, Shouguang City, was arrested by officers from the Liulu Police Station on August 24, 2017. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books, pictures of the founder of Falun Gong, and other related materials.
Ms. He was detained for 15 days.
8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gai Yonghua Arrested
Mr. Gai Yonghua from Laizhou City was arrested on the morning of August 25, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Chengguo Farmers' Market.
9. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
The Jiaozhou Court held a secret trial of three practitioners on June 1, 2017 without notifying their lawyers or families.
Mr. Qiu Yuanjin was sentenced to a three-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 6,000 yuan. Ms. Ge Jianzhen was sentenced to a two-year prison term and fined 4,000 yuan. Ms. Wu Xiaocui was sentenced to a two-year prison term and fined 2,000 yuan.

10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Jinmei Arrested
Ms. Wang Jinmei was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.
11. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Ms. Li Fengzhu, about 70, from the Xixingyuan Residential Community in Nanchang District, was arrested at the end of June 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Ms. Xu Lindi, in her 70s, and Ms. Wang were also arrested.
The three practitioners were taken to the Wuxi City No. 2 Detention Center.
12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Ronghua Detained
Ms. Zhang Ronghua was arrested on August 24, 2017. She is being held in the Erqibeilu Detention Center.
13. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Huiyun Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yang Huiyun was arrested by officials from the Yuhuating Neighborhood Comprehensive Management Office on the morning of August 25, 2017. She was taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center.

14. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yajun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yajun from Dongxinzhuang Village, Xingcheng City, was arrested by officers from the Suizhong Police Department and the Dongxinzhuang Police Station.
15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Pan Wenjie on Hunger Strike
Mr. Pan Wenjie's case has recently been transferred to the Taihe District Court. He had been on a hunger strike for four days as of August 24, 2017.

Ms. Xu Zhuo from Sanrenban Township, Raohe County was recently arrested. She is being held in the Shuangyashan City Detention Center.
17. [Beijing] Mr. Tong Missing
Mr. Tong from the Shuangcheng District, Heilongjiang Province does proofreading and editing work in the Taipingzhuang area of Beijing. He has been missing since June 18, 2017.
