(Minghui.org) More than 400 million people have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after recognizing its evil nature in the 19 years since the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. This large number is the result of the tireless efforts of Falun Gong practitioners all over the world, who have volunteered their time to tell the Chinese people the facts, inspire their kindness, and help them quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
Human Rights Activist Eager to Learn the Facts
Jie Lijian, a human rights activist from Shandong Province, announced his withdrawal from the CCP with the help of a Falun Gong practitioner volunteer in 2009. Jie was petitioning in Beijing with a group of people when he received some help from a female Falun Gong practitioner. “She clarified the truth to us and talked about quitting the Communist Party, the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers. She asked me if I wanted to quit using my real name or a pseudonym. I said I wanted to quit using my real name, and several people in the group also quit using pseudonyms,” Jie recalled.
Jie Lijian is a direct victim of the CCP’s tyranny. His family appealed for their rights after a forced demolition of their home. His mother was persecuted to death and his father was beaten by police in a local police station and was disabled for life. Jie was locked in a psychiatric facility and was on the verge of death twice. At the end of 2019, he finally arrived in the United States after a year on the run.
Jie recalled that in his hometown in Shandong, almost every household in the village had received Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. In 2004, he first came into contact with a Falun Gong practitioner at a market and heard about quitting the Party to stay safe. He was still underage at the time. “At that time, I yearned for these truth-clarifying DVDs, special publications, and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I often brought them home from the township or city. I was afraid that the police would check me, so I would tape them on my belly to take them back. At dinnertime, the entire family would watch the DVDs while eating.”
Some villagers initially thought that the CCP could not be that bad. After watching the DVDs and reading the Nine Commentaries, people understood the evil nature of the CCP. These truth-clarification materials opened the door to the truth for those who previously had misunderstandings about Falun Gong.
Jie Lijian said he believes that Falun Dafa disciples have persuaded 400 million people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations over the years. “Dafa disciples are spreading the truth in more than 100 countries around the world by telling everyone the facts about what an evil system the Communist Party is, a dictatorial totalitarian government, and what bad things it has done. I hope everyone will quit the Party after understanding the truth,” he said.
“Falun Gong Practitioners Are Really Good People”
Yun Ru, a volunteer from central Taiwan who helps people quit the Communist Party, gave several examples.
A woman from Heilongjiang Province quit the Party after quietly listening to Yun Ru’s explanation of the importance of quitting the CCP. The woman said that there were many Falun Gong practitioners living near her home who were indeed good people.
Another woman who was a Party member told Yun Ru, “Falun Gong people are really good people.” This woman said that she had helped a Falun Gong practitioner with housing issues. During the interaction with the practitioner, she was impressed by the kindness of the practitioner, and said she was really a good person. The woman quit the Party using a pseudonym.
A Chinese man said that he had received many calls from volunteers urging him to quit the Party. This had aroused his curiosity and he decided to learn about Falun Gong. He told Yun Ru that after getting quite an extensive understanding, he found that “Falun Gong is really good.” He agreed to quit the Party and hoped that Yun Ru could keep in touch with him from time to time.
