(Minghui.org) After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, Mr. Chen (pseudonym), the deputy secretary of my city’s Political and Legal Affairs Committee became head of the 610 Office. He had the post until 2012. During his tenure, he followed the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, and committed many heinous acts.
When coordinating with another practitioner to raise awareness about Falun Dafa and the persecution in 2016, we saw Mr. Chen walking on the pedestrian walkway in his neighborhood. He was wearing headphones and listening to something.
With Dafa’s compassion, we sincerely greeted him and I asked, “How are you feeling?” He replied, “Something is going on, but it’s okay, I’ll get better.” We were told by people that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
We knew only Dafa could save him, so we decided that the next time we saw him, we would explain what Dafa is and offer to help him quit the CCP and its youth organizations. We understood whether or not he could be saved depended on whether he realized that he had committed crimes and truly understood that Falun Dafa is good.
The next time we saw Mr. Chen he greeted us and told us that he was living an idyllic life, implying that he no longer worked at the 610 Office. He complimented me on my good health and spirit. I told him it was because I never gave up practicing Falun Dafa. I explained what Falun Dafa is, and seized the opportunity to help him quit the CCP organizations.
The third time we met Mr. Chen was this October, and he looked good. He was friendly, and praised me for being in good spirits and not showing my age, which was in the 70s. He asked how my husband and children were, and I told him they were doing well. He put his hands together and wished us good health and longevity.
Recently, a friend of Mr. Chen’s told me that he awakened to the fact that, in more than 10 years of interacting with Falun Dafa practitioners, he found that they were indeed different from most people—he said they were generous and kind, decent, upright and courteous. He admired them for standing firm in their belief, explaining the truth to those who persecuted them, and risking their own safety amid the persecution to inform the public of the situation. He said Falun Dafa practitioners are a group of altruistic people with high morals.
Dafa is compassionate. Master is compassionate. No matter what wrongdoings one has done, as long as one repents, corrects one’s mistakes and does good deeds, one can be saved by Dafa and have a bright future, as gods will bless them.
I hope those who followed the CCP and persecuted Falun Dafa will grasp the fleeting opportunity to understand the truth and wake up as soon as possible, and not be held responsible for the CCP’s crimes.
