(Minghui.org) At the 24th anniversary of Falun Gong’s peacefully protesting the persecution, practitioners in central Taiwan held rallies in Wen-Xin Forest Park in Taichung City; Yuzu Park in Douliu City, Yunlin County; and the square in front of Changhua Railway Station on July 15 and 16, 2023. They clarified the truth about Falun Gong and commemorated practitioners who were persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
A number of Taiwanese representatives, government officials, organizations, doctors, and entrepreneurs expressed their support at the events. They condemned the CCP’s atrocities, pledged to push for legislation to stop harvesting practitioners’ organs, and called on the public to help spread the truth.

Adhering to Peace and Rationality in Opposing the Persecution Has Been Highly Praised
Taiwan legislator Zhang-Liao Wanjian attends the rally in Wen-Xin Forest Park in Taichung City to support Falun Gong’s peaceful effort to end the persecution.
Taiwan legislator Zhang-Liao Wanjian praised Falun Gong practitioners for wanting to end the persecution in a peaceful and rational manner over the past 24 years. He believes this is the way the CCP fears most. He said, “Falun Gong practitioners use peaceful and persevering methods, documenting literature and cultural performances to tell the CCP that if they continue to govern by persecuting human rights, and perpetrating atrocities of organ harvesting from living practitioners, I believe they will definitely be eliminated by the international community.”
Zhang-Liao Wanjian mentioned that given the effort by Falun Gong practitioners to stop organ harvesting from living practitioners, this atrocity has been banned in many countries, and in Taiwan it is now being proposed in the Legislative Yuan. As one of the sponsors of the “draft law on combating and preventing organ harvesting from living practitioners,” he believes that it will be passed soon.

Taiwan legislator Liu Jianguo said that Falun Gong practitioners around the world have been exposing the persecution for decades by spreading the truth, gaining support of the legislative bodies of various countries, and using international forces combined with the forces of democracy to speak out together.
He said, “This powerful force comes from the perseverance and strong will of Dafa disciples around the world. Under high-pressure persecution, I really admire the spirit of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in the face of evil forces.” He strongly condemned the CCP: “The CCP’s harvesting of living people’s organs violates human nature, common sense, and heavenly principles, which is absolutely intolerable by heaven and earth, and will definitely be punished by heaven.”
Taichung City Councilman Huang Shouda
Taichung City Councilor Huang Shouda said that Falun Gong practitioners have long used various methods and channels to convey these important messages to the world, including the Taiwan public, and that the perseverance of Falun Gong practitioners is quite respectable.
He said, “The experience of Falun Gong practitioners peacefully and rationally working against the persecution is quite difficult. It can make more people willing to stand up and awaken more people’s reason and conscience, which is also very important to the world.” He called on everyone not to forget this history of persecution, “everyone needs to understand and care, because it also concerns themselves.”
Taichung City Councilman Xie Zhizhong
“I want to salute them the most,” Taichung City Councilman Xie Zhizhong said. “Falun Gong practitioners are a group of peaceful, quiet, and healthy practicing people, and I support and admire them very much. But the CCP deprives them of their personal freedom and choice of belief.”
He asked if people could not see the evil nature of the CCP through the Falun Gong practitioners’ effort calling for an end to the persecution over the past 24 years, how long will it take for them to see clearly?
He said he had signed a parliamentary proposal in support of the legislation and called on parliamentary colleagues regardless of party affiliation to support it.
Yang Zixian, a council member of Changhua County
Yang Zixian, a Changhua County council member, expressed great admiration for Falun Gong practitioners, and this long-term adherence to the spirit of peace and rationality in protesting the persecution.
He said, “Falun Gong practitioners have to endure such suppression on the one hand, and on the other hand, they pass on the belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and such persistence is a very important force in the world.”
Lin Shixian, Mayor of Changhua
The Mayor of Changhua Lin Shixian said, “Democracy and freedom are universal values and our way of life, and I admire Falun Gong practitioners around the world for defending the most basic rights of mankind with their lives and everything.” He condemned the CCP’s live organ harvesting, which is “not only a violation of human rights, but also a violation of humanity. Miserable inhumanity.”
Everyone Condemn the CCP’s Atrocities and Helps Spread the Truth

Taiwanese legislator Chuang Jingcheng believes that everyone should recognize the true face of the CCP, and a regime that persecutes its own people. It especially commits atrocities such as organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, saying, “We should let all Taiwanese and the whole world know and condemn such acts as one mind.”
Chuang Jingcheng also mentioned that now information is available everywhere. When the CCP destroys people’s impression of Falun Gong by slandering Falun Gong, he reminded people to be careful to seek evidence and recognize the CCP’s evil methods.
Mr. Chuang said the legislature would enact legislation to ban Taiwanese from traveling to China for organ transplants. At the same time, he called on everyone to help spread the truth about Falun Gong, to support Falun Gong, spread information, and let everyone recognize the evil deeds of the CCP.
Taichung City Councilman Lee Tiansheng
Li Tiansheng, a Taichung city councilor who has long supported and paid attention to Falun Gong, said, “Falun Gong purifies and changes society, and such a good practice should spread to the whole world.”
Li Tiansheng believes that the CCP’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners is a barbaric act, and it is inconceivable that it still exists in today’s society. Li Tiansheng stressed that the CCP must collapse. He has been deeply touched by the peaceful and rational response to the persecution over the past 24 years. He called on the public to stand up and support Falun Gong, to stop the persecution, and allow justice to be served.
Changhua County Councilman Li Chengji
Changhua County Councilman Li Chengji said that the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting are barbaric! This behavior cannot be allowed to happen. He hopes that through everyone’s condemnation and appeal, the CCP will stop this cruel and inhuman treatment of the people, and he calls on the public to work together to achieve this.
Yunlin County Councilman Jiang Wendeng said, “Today I stand up for justice, do my best, and hope to awaken justice in the hearts of all of us.” He also said with a choked voice: “Through today’s memorial service, I feel practitioners’ suffering. They care about the human rights in mainland China, and they try to stop the persecution of good people who practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is the best choice for a bright future.”

Mr. Xiao, a citizen of Changhua, said that the CCP is arrogant and unreasonable, and although the international community has been condemning it, he cannot hope that the CCP will get better, and that the persecution can only be stopped by awakening the conscience of the people on both sides of the strait.
He said, “The persecution of Falun Gong has been [going on for] nearly a quarter of a century, and now we know the tyranny of the CCP’s organ harvesting from living people. We need to wake up the world and draw a clear line between us and the CCP.”
