(Minghui.org) On the eve of the 24th anniversary of the persecution of Falun Dafa, practitioners in Malaysia held a series of activities in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, hoping to inform more people of the atrocities.

Group Exercises, Exhibitions, and Candlelight Vigil

On the morning of July 9, 2023, practitioners held activities in Titiwangsa Park in Kuala Lumpur, calling for an immediate end to the persecution. Despite the clouds and heavy rain, the activities proceeded as scheduled. Many people talked with practitioners and signed the petition to condemn the persecution.

Practitioners held activities in Titiwangsa Park, Kuala Lumpur on July 9, 2023 to mark 24 years of peacefully exposing the persecution.

The day’s events began with group exercises in Titiwangsa Park Square.

Many people signed the petition to end the persecution.

People viewed the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) Exhibition artworks.

During the event at Titiwangsa Park practitioners had copies of the People’s Independent Court (China Tribunal) Deliberation Evidence Exhibition available for people to read. They also displayed artworks from the Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) Exhibition, allowing visitors to understand the human rights abuses that are taking place in China today.

That evening they held candlelight vigil in Titiwangsa Park to commemorate practitioners who were tortured to death by the CCP.

People Condemn the Persecution

People from different backgrounds condemned the CCP’s human rights abuses. Mr. Ibrahim, a Malay, said that he regretted that he did not know about the CCP’s crimes of forced organ harvesting before, so he contributed funds to his friend’s organ transplant in China. He hopes that people pay attention to the live organ harvesting to prevent them from inadvertently supporting such crimes.

Ms. Huang, a Chinese Malaysian, said she was well aware of the scarcity of voluntary organ donation among Chinese. She has personally been discouraged by family and friends from signing organ donation consent forms. She found it incomprehensible that there is a vast transplant network in China where patients only have to wait two weeks or less. She called for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Mr. Peng, a Falun Dafa practitioner from China who has found asylum in Malaysia, recounted his experience of being mercilessly detained and tortured by the CCP since the persecution began in 1999. Although the CCP tried to coerce him into signing a “confession” to slander Falun Dafa, he remained steadfast and determined not to succumb to evil. “A person who has recovered his health will no longer want to be a patient,” he said. “Clean water does not want to return to a state of filthy pollution.”

Rally Near the Chinese Consulate

Practitioners peacefully rallied near the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lampur on July 15, 2023.

Practitioners held a rally near the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on July 15, to expose the persecution. They congratulated the 415 million Chinese who quit the CPC and its affiliated organizations and called on people to help stop the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs.

They read statements in Chinese and Malay. They have gone to the Chinese Consulate to expose the persecution, rain or shine for more than 20 years.

Event on the Avenue of Stars

Practitioners held an activity on the Avenue of Stars to tell people about the persecution.

That evening practitioners held an event on Bukit Bintang (the Avenue of Stars), the most popular commercial area in Kuala Lumpur. They reenacted the organ harvesting, and told people about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s 24-year long brutal persecution of the spiritual practice.

The street was crowded, and many people stopped to listen as a practitioner explained that the London-based People’s Independent Tribunal (China Tribunal) confirmed that the CCP is still harvesting organs from living practitioners, including testimony from doctors and police who were directly involved. She said that these crimes not only affect China, but the whole world. The CCP runs an international transplant organ tourism to attract unwitting people to China for organ transplants, but practitioners are killed for their organs.

The practitioner called on people to avoid traveling to China for organ transplants. She explained that this is tantamount to fueling and supporting evil.

Ms. Guo Shufang, a famous Malaysian female singer who practices Falun Dafa, recounted her personal experience. She said that after she began practicing Falun Dafa, her mental and physical health improved. However, practitioners in China, who became healthy after practicing, were disabled or even killed when police tortured them. This behavior is unthinkable in a free country.

A tourist from India watched practitioners do the exercises, and felt they were calm, peaceful, and very beautiful. She read the banners and asked, “Why is such a good practice persecuted? If the Communist Party cannot even tolerate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, then it is the devil. It seems to be powerful, but evil has never succeeded in history.”

Many people said that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa is the persecution of human nature and human beings, and everyone must work together to stop this evil. Some tourists from China quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations during the event. Some Malaysian Chinese did the exercises with practitioners. Others expressed their support for Falun Dafa, asking what they could do to help. Many people signed the petition condemning the persecution.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
