(Minghui.org) On July 15, 2023, Falun Dafa practitioners from neighboring cities in Denmark and Sweden gathered on Axel Square in Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen to commemorate 24 years of their peacefully exposing the persecution. Chinese democracy activists spoke in support, and many passersby expressed their condemnation of the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) inhuman persecution.

Axel Square is located in the heart of Copenhagen and faces the main entrance of the 170-year-old Tivoli Gardens. The practitioners displayed banners, did the exercises, and distributed information about Falun Dafa and how the CCP persecutes it.
Thi Kim Tuyen Duong traveled more than seven hours to participate in the event
Thi Kim Tuyen Duong drove more than seven hours from her remote town to participate in the activity. She wanted to tell people about her amazing experience with Falun Dafa.
Five years ago, plagued by a stubborn illness, she went online to find a solution. She happened to see the video of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, demonstrating the exercises and was immediately interested.
Without contacting any Falun Dafa practitioners, she began doing the exercises every day and watched Master Li’s teaching videos. She downloaded the exercise music and Falun Dafa books from the Internet, which are available for free. All her ailments soon disappeared.
“I want to tell everyone I meet about my experience,” she said. “I want to tell people that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Please help us stop this evil persecution of good people by the CCP!”
Chinese Democracy Activist: Falun Gong Is China’s Future and Hope
Mr. Chen Yangchao made a special trip to support practitioners.
Mr. Chen Yangchao, a Chinese living in Denmark, is one of the veteran democracy activists who early on recognized the evil nature of the CCP. He made a special trip to the event and gave a speech entitled “Falun Gong Will Become China’s Force for Building a Modern State.”
He praised Falun Gong practitioners for their, “actions in telling the truth, opposing persecution, and exposing and criticizing the CCP’s tyranny.” Mr. Chen continued, “After 24 years the Falun Gong group has increasingly grown into the main force of national salvation against oppression, anti-autocracy, truth-telling, and pursuit of justice and conscience!
“A group of outstanding talents with both ability and political integrity are growing rapidly! Any hope of changing the CCP state and putting China on the glorious path of a modern country is pinned on the outstanding Falun Gong group who pursue the right path!”
Mr. Yang Guang gave an impromptu speech in support of Falun Gong practitioners.
Another Chinese, Mr. Yang Guang, said he suffered cruel persecution by the CCP in his hometown in northeast China when he was young. He came to the event and delivered an impromptu speech.
He said, “The CCP is communist and was introduced into China by the Soviet Union. It is a group of bandits and hooligans. The CCP has committed heinous crimes against Chinese people and has killed countless numbers of them. The crimes of the communist party are unspeakable!
“The CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. Falun Gong is a Buddhist practice that promotes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to enhance the morality of the Chinese, benefits the Chinese, and moves them towards self-discipline and self-improvement. However, the Jiang Zemin clique in the CCP is jealous of Falun Gong and fears Falun Gong, so it has brutally suppressed Falun Gong practitioners.
“The CCP state will bring unprecedented disasters to the human world, and the Chinese people must take action to overthrow the puppet regime! Only by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can the people of China obtain freedom, human rights, and the rule of law.
“Falun Gong practitioners fight persecution and tell the truth, and I sincerely hope that Falun Gong will carry forward this spirit and become the hope of the Chinese country and nation.”
If Everyone Believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the World Would Be Better
After learning about the persecution, people signed the petition to support Falun Gong.
David, a Danish chef, believes in Tibetan Buddhism. He said that he was no stranger to Falun Gong.
He said, “If everyone believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the world would be a better place. I came especially to sign the petition to support you today, because I really cannot tolerate the heinous crime of large-scale organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in China that the Chinese communist government sanctions.”
Mona and Jens hope that the Chinese will soon be freed from the CCP dictatorship.
Inge said, “I hope that the CCP’s evil of organ harvesting can be stopped as soon as possible.”
Anna and Martin were shocked by the persecution in China.
Two young people talked to practitioners for a long time.
Two young people knew almost nothing about the emergence and spread of communism, let alone the persecution of Falun Gong in China, which is far away in Asia. A practitioner sat with them and told them the details, from the emergence of the Paris Commune in France in the nineteenth century, to the emergence of German Marxism, to the CCP’s destruction of China’s 5,000-year-old traditional culture in just over 70 years, the June Fourth Tiananmen Square massacre in China, to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. These two said they had learned a lot and were grateful.
A Chinese woman stayed nearby for a long time. She observed and took photos of practitioners as they did the exercises. She said that she was very well aware that the Communist Party is bad and also that both Falun Gong’s master and Falun Gong are good. Before the persecution, many people in her hometown practiced Falun Gong.
She said that she’d traveled to many European countries and seen practitioners everywhere, and that she has taken many photos and planned to return to China to share them with friends.
When a practitioner told her how important it was to quit the CCP, she made it clear that she wanted to be a good person, did not want to participate in abusing practitioners, and did not want to be a scapegoat for the CCP and officially withdrew from the CCP’s Young Pioneers and Youth League during the event.
Protest at the Chinese Embassy
On the morning of July 20, practitioners peacefully protested in front of the Chinese Embassy.

They held banners that read, “Falun Dafa is good” “Truthfulness-Compassion- Forbearance,” “Immediately End the Persecution of Falun Gong,” and “Congratulations to the 410 Million Chinese Who Withdrew from the CCP.” They also appealed to the embassy staff, hoping they would choose goodness, stay away from the CCP, and choose a bright future.
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
