(Minghui.org) My brother and his wife Yao run a large company with tens of millions of dollars in assets. Yao is very capable. She handles everything in and out of the company and makes all the decisions big or small. Their company is booming but her health suffered, and she has lost a lot of weight.
Yao began to have blood in her stool and stomach discomfort whenever she ate. She had a checkup in the hospital, and the doctor called in her son and told him that she had cancer and that she should go to a prestigious oncology hospital for surgery.
Since Yao’s daughter-in-law works in a district hospital, they took her there for a second opinion. The result showed end-stage stomach cancer already metastasized to the liver. Everyone was dumbfounded. They did not tell Yao, fearing that she could not withstand such news. They just told her that she had a stomach ulcer that needed minor surgery.
The district hospital declined the surgery due to the severity of her condition and recommended comfort care instead. But her son wouldn’t give up. He found a provincial hospital which agreed to operate on Yao. Before she was transferred there, her son desperately told me: “I want to try my best and find the most effective treatment for her.” I comforted him: “Do not be so pessimistic. There are countless cases of miracles when people sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Let us all recite these auspicious phrases for your mother!”
I had already clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to Yao and she had read Dafa books in the past. I told her to sincerely recite the auspicious phrases, and we would do the same at home. Yao agreed: “I know. I am asking Master’s blessing in my heart right now. Please do that for me at home as well.”
The provincial hospital also recommended comfort measures after close examination of Yao’s condition. But since Yao could not eat anymore and was miserable, her son begged the surgeon: “Please, if there is any hope, we still want the surgery, she is the pillar of our family.” She had the surgery three days later, and the surgeon removed two-thirds of Yao’s stomach. The surgery went smoothly.
We went to visit Yao after she was discharged from the hospital. She was in good spirits. She told us about an amazing experience: “I had been reciting the auspicious phrases almost nonstop. Before the surgery, when I was half asleep, I saw a tall man taking away a large chunk of stuff from my stomach. I felt comfortable and light, and knew that the Master of Falun Dafa, Li Hongzhi, was saving me at that moment!”
Yao told us: “I will join you to practice Falun Dafa as soon as my wound heals!” She recovered from her surgery smoothly and quickly. When she went back for a checkup, her oncologist was shocked: “Not only has the wound healed well, there are no cancer cells to be found! Congratulations!”
Yao’s daughter came from overseas and was still concerned about the results of her mother’s surgery. She gathered the diagnostic films and information and consulted experts in four hospitals in Shanghai. They all stated that the wound had healed well and no more cancer cells were found. She was finally convinced of Falun Dafa’s healing power.
Yao has begun to read Zhuan Falun, the main teaching of Dafa. Yao told me: “Life is most precious, no matter how much money one makes, it is worth nothing if one loses one’s health. I witnessed you and your husband in the last twenty years of Falun Dafa cultivation practice, healthy and energetic, I will cultivate with you from now on.”
She often tells her friends: “It is Master Li who saved my life. Falun Dafa is good. It is wondrous!”
