(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yanmin Arrested
Ms. Li Yanmin was arrested on June 12, 2023, and taken to the Weizigou Detention Center.
2. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Shusheng Arrested
Mr. Wang Shusheng was arrested at home on June 13, 2023. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and his photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
3. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Jing Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Jing was reported to the police for distributing information about Falun Gong and was arrested on June 16, 2023. She was placed under 15-day detention and was admitted to the Dujiangyan City Detention House.
4. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Du Xuechun Arrested
Ms. Du Xuechun was arrested by officers from the Mine Park Police Station on the afternoon of May 15, 2023. She was given five days of detention but was denied admission to the detention center because of high blood pressure. She was released.
5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Huayun Arrested
Two police officers went to Ms. Zhang Huayun’s home on the morning of June 13, 2023, and told her to go to the police station. When Ms. Zhang refused to cooperate, they took her to the station by force. She was released later due to her health.
6. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tai Lijuan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Tai Lijuan was arrested near her daughter’s home on May 23, 2023. She was detained for 15 days and released on June 7, 2023.
7. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qin Huaibin Harassed
Jiapi Village government official surnamed Yuan and two officers from the Dongchang District Domestic Security Division went to Mr. Qin Huaibin’s home in Jinchang Town on the morning of June 20, 2023, but he was was not home. They ransacked the place and confiscated nine Falun Gong books and two wall posters.
8. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xin Arrested
Ms. Guo Xin was arrested at work around May 12, 2023. Her home was ransacked and Falun Gong books were confiscated.
9. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Zhimin Tried in District Court
Ms. Ye Zhimin was arrested on June 5, 2020, and was released later on bail pending trial. Ms. Ye was arrested again in Jintao Town, Nan’an City, on November 28, 2022, by officers from the Liutang Police Station in the Bao’an District. She was tried in the Nanshan District Court on March 17, 2023.
10. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Zuojuan Faces Trial
Ms. Yang Zuojuan, 60, received a notice on May 10, 2023, that she would be tried on June 13, 2023. Ms. Yang was denied admission by the detention center due to her health and was released on June 20, 2023.
11. [Qianjiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Wenying Arrested
Ms. Huang Wenying was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by Yuanlin Police Station officers around June 13, 2023.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Jinghui Taken to Prison
Ms. Wang Jinghui was taken to the No. 7 Ward of No. 2 Women’s Prison of Liaoning Province in April 2023. Her family was not allowed to visit her.
13. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Li Haitao and Ms. Wang Cuiping Released After Being Imprisoned for Three Years
Mr. Li Haitao and Ms. Wang Cuiping were arrested and detained on June 12, 2020. They were each sentenced to three years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by the Linquan County Court on February 3, 2021. Mr. Li was taken to Suzhou Prison on June 15, 2022, and Ms. Wang was taken to Anhui Province Women’s Prison. Mr. Li and Ms. Wang were released on June 11, 2023.
14. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Jinsheng’s Husband Detained
Mr. Ren Ming is the husband of Ms. Ren Jinsheng, who is a practitioner. Mr. Ren was detained when he went to the Wangjiajing Town Police Station to issue a letter for their son.
