(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held an event to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Regime’s persecution in Toulouse, southwestern France, on July 22, 2023. They introduced Falun Gong and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 24-year-long persecution. 

Many people were informed about the CCP’s ongoing persecution of Falun Gong. They signed a petition to express their support. Practitioners also demonstrated the exercises.

Regarding the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, people were appalled that such a large-scale crime against humanity has continued for so many years. Some people encouraged and praised Falun Gong practitioners for their efforts.

A Jewish woman strongly condemned the CCP’s organ harvesting from living practitioners. She fully agrees with the universal values of Falun Dafa: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said that she was interested in beginning to practice Falun Gong.

A man passed by the booth. He said that he saw the Shen Yun performance in Montpellier in April. This time he bought the main book of Falun Dafa, Zhuan Falun.

A young Uyghur from China read the display boards. He knew that the CCP treated Uyghurs badly, but he did not know that Falun Gong was persecuted. When he learned of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong which was launched in 1999, he said, “I want to sign the petition to call for an end to this persecution. You are admirable, and you are helping our nation to find justice again. Thank you very much. I wish you all the best.”

After listening to a practitioner’s explanation, two French women were moved and hugged the practitioner. One woman said, “You are amazing. I hope it [persecution] will end soon.” The second woman said to the practitioner, “I am really touched. You are so tenacious. I will always stand by your side and support you.”

An elderly man told a practitioner that he heard about the persecution of Falun Gong nine years ago. However, he heard nothing further about it since then, which made him think that the persecution had ended. He asked, “Is it still going on now? Do you have evidence?” 

The practitioner talked about witnesses of the persecution, such as testimonies by doctors who participated in the organ harvesting, testimonies by human rights lawyers, and evidence from the China Tribunal in 2019. The practitioner led him to the petition table and showed him the portraits of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners who were tortured to death, with their names, ages, and year of death. The man then asked to sign the petition.
