(Minghui.org) My mother is 89 years old and in good health. She can independently take care of all her daily needs. Many elderly people in the village envy her situation. She has been blessed for her understanding of the truth about Falun Dafa and cherishing Dafa materials.
At the peak of the Chinese Communist Party persecution, many people, who did not know the facts about Falun Dafa, did not dare to read Dafa materials. Some even destroyed the materials when they came upon them. Chatting with her friend next door one day, my mother saw her attempt to light a truth-clarifying leaflet on fire to use it to start up the stove for cooking. She quickly snatched up the leaflet. “It is a treasure,” my mother said, “You cannot burn it!”
My mother then went home with the leaflet. Although she could not read, Mother flipped through the pamphlet page by page.The next day, she was shocked to find herself no longer needing crutches for walking. She asked me how this happened. I told her that I believed she was rewarded for protecting Dafa materials.
Last spring, my mother complained of a stomachache. We took her to a hospital and the doctor found a large malignant tumor. At the same time, she was also found to have a urinary calculus about one inch in diameter. The doctor said that the tumor must be removed soon. But he couldn’t guarantee the operation would be successful given my mother’s advanced age. We signed a medical agreement to have the tumor removed. The doctor said that the tumor would be removed first and the calculus could wait three months.
While my mother was undergoing the surgery, my sister and I sent righteous thoughts together for her outside the operating room. We silently recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” A few hours later, the doctor came out and said that the operation was successful.
Although the incision was very long because of the size of the tumor, my mother only stayed in the hospital for a week. On the second day after she was discharged, she went out and cultivated the land to grow vegetables. We tried to stop her, but she insisted that she felt great. Indeed, the incision over her stomach area healed very quickly, and she never felt any pain.
Three months later, we took my mother to the best hospital in town to have the calculus removed. The stones were found to have grown larger. The doctor did not want to remove them because of her age. We had no choice but to take our suffering mother to another hospital. The doctor there refused to perform the surgery himself, but found a colleague who was willing to do it.
To reduce the risks, my mother went through various tests before the operation. When the doctor looked at the MRI film, he was shocked to see that the stones were gone. The doctor said, “The stones were clearly shown on the original film, and they were not small. Where did they go? I have never experienced such a strange thing like this before. It’s amazing!” The doctor was very happy for my mother. I knew it was Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, who helped my mother overcome this ordeal.
My elder brother, who did not believe in Dafa, also witnessed this miracle. Now, he strongly supports my sister and me in our Falun Dafa cultivation practice.
