(Minghui.org) July 20, 2023 marks 24 years since practitioners exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa. Practitioners from Los Angeles held an event at Santa Monica Beach on Sunday, July 23 to call for an end to the persecution and to tell people how the CCP harvests organ from practitioners while they are alive.

Some practitioners held banners while others did the Falun Dafa exercises and distributed information about human rights violations in China. Many people visit Santa Monica Beach, which is a popular tourist attraction, and talked with practitioners or took photos. People expressed their support and signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution. Some people learned the exercises on the spot.
Urgent Appeal for Three Relatives
Karen Kang
Karen Kang said her older sister was persecuted to death. The CCP recently arrested her younger sister and two nephews because they practice Falun Dafa. Ms. Kang held a banner requesting the police department of Gujiao City, Shanxi Province immediately release her relatives.
Tourists Voice Their Support
Allen Dubrow from Florida said, “We must stop the CCP from persecuting Falun Dafa.”
Allen Dubrow, a tourist who is from Florida, said that he is familiar with the history of the Holocaust, so he also understands the evil nature of the totalitarian CCP. “The Chinese Communist Party, like other totalitarian groups, wants to dominate people’s political positions and thoughts, and then influence the thoughts of all people, creating a huge sense of fear in people.” He believes that all people are born equal and should have the right to enjoy freedom. “So we must stop the CCP from persecuting Falun Dafa,” he said.
Kiara Brioni
Kiara Brioni, a tourist, said that kind people should not be persecuted in any form, “I also believe in Truth, Compassion and Forbearance. This (persecution) is unacceptable.”
Richard Ramirez
Richard Ramirez was visiting Los Angeles and said the United States and his country should step in and put pressure on the CCP. “Good people should be released immediately, and CCP officials should be arrested and put in prison. They should pay for their evil deeds of persecuting people and violating human rights,” he said.
