(Minghui.org) Practitioners peacefully protested in front of the Chinese Consulates in Nagasaki and Fukuoka on December 31, 2023. They condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 24-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa and called on the international community to help stop the egregious human rights violations.

Practitioners held protests on the afternoon and evening of December 31, 2023, in the Kumamoto area. They gathered in front of the Chinese Consulates in Nagasaki and Fukuoka to tell residents and tourists about Falun Dafa and how the CCP persecutes it. They held banners and display boards that read: “Falun Dafa is good,” “Stop the persecution of Falun Gong Immediately,” and “Give Falun Gong Freedom.”

Many pedestrians stopped in front of the display boards and carefully read the content. Passing drivers lowered their windows to read the information or honked their horns to express their support and concern. As night fell, the practitioners lit candles to solemnly commemorate fellow practitioners who were persecuted to death. The eye-catching banners and candles drew people’s attention.

A practitioner spokesperson said, “In July 1999, Jiang Zemin, the former CCP head initiated the persecution. Over 100 million practitioners follow Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be better people. They benefited the nation and society, but they suffered unprecedented persecution.

“Innocent practitioners are arrested, detained in brainwashing centers, and imprisoned. They suffer torture and are even subjected to the CCP’s live organ harvesting. The CCP’s persecution is inhumane. The persecution has transcended national boundaries and races. It ignores the most basic rights of human beings to survive and destroys human morality and conscience.”

At the end, he said, “Our protest has lasted 24 years. We hope more people can recognize the CCP’s nature and its crimes, work together to safeguard world peace and stop the persecution as soon as possible.”
