(Minghui.org) I went to a local shopping mall on January 5, 2024 to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in China. I met six men from China wearing suits and ties. A Frenchman accompanied them who seemed to be their translator, and he was introducing the tourist attractions to them in Chinese. As the group strolled into a shopping mall, I seized the opportunity to speak to them. “I don’t want to take up your time,” I said, “I just want to tell you the importance of withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”
Some of them smiled while others nodded. A few of them glanced at an older man in the group who seemed to be their superior. I continued, “Natural disasters are increasing and the pandemic is still severe in China. These tragedies aren’t coincidental. Communist ideology came from a European, Karl Marx, and we cannot betray our motherland. Our Chinese ancestors did not frivolously make vows. Why don’t you quit the CCP and release yourself from the oath you made when you joined the Party? You will be blessed.”
The older man said to me, “Go away; we have things to do.” He turned around and told the other men to keep walking, but he stayed behind with me. As soon as they were out of earshot, he said, “I know everything you say is true. The CCP is rotten to the core. It will collapse with a push. I understand better than you. I will quit the CCP using an alias! I am a Party member but I cannot tell the others in my group that I quit, or they will tell everyone.” He thanked me and left.
I caught up with the other men but only found two of them. They both agreed to quit the CCP after I talked to them briefly. One told me, “We understand what you said earlier; you don’t have to tell us more. Thank you!”
As I walked out of the shopping mall, I saw four Chinese people in their 20s walking towards me – a woman and three men. There was also another man with them who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s. I approached them and spoke about how COVID spread to the rest of the world from Wuhan, China. I explained that the CCP covered up the truth about the outbreak and many people died. Various parts of China continue to have COVID, but the CCP does not report it or care about people’s safety. I said that even now, the CCP continues to cover up the truth about the pandemic. I asked them to quickly withdraw from all the CCP organizations they’d joined. They agreed with what I said and agreed to quit using aliases.
The young woman said, “We came from Shanghai. Three years of COVID brought us a lot of misery.” The older man in their group explained, “We are relatives. I helped them leave the country. It is so bad in China that we cannot stay there.”
I told him, “You have done the right thing! You will be blessed for quitting the CCP. You must tell your friends and relatives to remember ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you will be protected by divine beings.”
The woman said, “We grew up deceived by the CCP, and I always had negative thoughts about Falun Gong, but now we know practitioners are kind and good people.” [Editor’s note: The CCP has carried out an active campaign of deceitful and slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong since 1999.] Then, one of the young men raised his fist and shouted, “Down with the CCP! Heaven will eliminate the CCP!” The others followed suit in shouting the words! They kept on shouting as they walked away.
I felt happy that Chinese people have awakened. The efforts of Falun Gong practitioners in raising awareness about the CCP’s crimes and the persecution have not been wasted!
I used to make phone calls to China to tell people the facts about the persecution. In June 2023, because the CCP blocked phone calls from overseas, I started going out to scenic sites to clarify the truth to tourists from China. Although there are fewer tourists compared to pre-pandemic days, when tourists came in busloads, I can still always find visitors from China.
Most of the tourists from China listen to what I tell them. A small number continue to be afraid to learn the truth and try to avoid me. I feel sorry for them. Although it can be discouraging, I told myself not to be disheartened and to persist in explaining the facts to people from China.
I have been clarifying the truth to people at tourist spots for several months now. I try to keep a steady mind and remind myself I am here to save people by helping them quit the CCP. At first, only twelve people quit the CCP each day. I can now help twenty or as many as 50-60 people quit in a day. Those who quit tell me happily, “We understand! Thank you! If the CCP did not persecute Falun Gong, perhaps we might practice cultivation too!”
